want to delete email with pictures that won't finish delivery

I tried to send an email with a number of pictures attached. The email will
not or cannot finish the send process. I have tried to delete the message
without success. How do I get rid of it? It is bogging down my other email.

Click File and check Work Offline. Close and then restart Outlook. Delete
the message. Click File and uncheck Work Offline.
