Want to make a multi-layer background

I want to be able to layer two colors with out blending them. What I want is
to have a Light color background, then on the bottom I would like to have a
darker color running across. Is this possible with PP 03?

Are you trying to create a gradient background?

If that's not it, then maybe you just want to Format | Background and give
the slide(s) or master a light color, then draw a rectangle and fill it with
the other color....

I basically want to add rectangles of different colors then what the schemes
allow and not the same size as the pre form backgrounds. Does that help?

Anything you add to the slide master will show up on the slides. So go to
View | Master | Slide Master and then draw the autoshapes onto the
backgrounds.

You can fill those with any color you want, just choose "more colors" in the
Fill Color options.
