want to open Excel and Word document from Switchboard

i am using Access 2003 and i want to be able to open a Word document and
Excel document from my Switchboard from my database. i was wondering what
procedures must be carried out to make this work.

Can somebody help me please!

Use the button wizard, it'll do it all for you.
