want to stop my popup window from showing more than once. BUT....

at the moment the page opens to ask for name and any feedback about the
site,

what I intent to do is have the main page then have

hello **** welcome back.

this part I can add later,

the part I really need is to have this page stop opening when they click the
submit button that send the info to me.

that way they do not keep being asked to submit they name and location
details every time they visit the site.

the page that opens is a pop up and is a form that collects information, age
and gender, location and any other info they wish to give.

if you want me to I can send in this forum the html code for someone to
amend to achieve this for me.

hope someone can help me add a few lines to my html page.

You can only control that using a cookie and if the user allows / maintains cookies
- search for JavaScript cookies

When the user enters the site you'd check to see if they have a cookie set
using the Cookie Redirect component. If the cookie is found then you'd use
the Cookie Display Value component to display the Hello Visitors Name. If it
is not found you could go to another page to gather the information, using
Get Value From Form Field or open the page in a pop up if the cookie is not
found.

The page that gathers the information would set the cookie that is being
keyed upon.
