Want to sync Entourage calendar with iPhone -WITHOUT getting iCal alerts

I want to sync my Entourage calendar with my iPhone. I understand that I can do this by enabling sync services in Entourage preferences and selecting the "synchronize events with iCal" option.

The problem with performing this sync is that now, both Entourage AND iCal send out reminder alerts prior to meetings. (So I get two reminder alerts for every item on my calendar instead of just one).

Is there a way around this problem?

Open up iCal and go to iCal (menu) > Preferences > Advanced > Turn off
alarms
