Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel I am trying to use .pot templates in Powerpoint 2004 but I get a blank Powerpoint slide when I double click on .pot file. Some .pot templates are from PC and some from Mac (all created in earlier version of Office)

Thank you for any help that you can give.

Well, what do you *expect* to get? If the .pot was saved as a Design
Template double-clicking it should simply create a new presentation file
having just one Title Slide. Other slides would be provided if it were
created as a Presentation Template.

I'm afraid we can't very well answer your question if we have no idea how
the result deviates from the intent :) Many templates are designed without
backgrounds & content but dictate other aspects of the presentation files
base on them, such as Fonts, etc.

Have you tried using the File> Open command to open the template file itself
to see what it's 'supposed' to look like?
