Want to view full path under Sharing Links

In the Share Resources dialogue box of a shared resource file, long path
names of linked files under Sharing Links are truncated, and there is no
horizontal scroll bar to view the full path. Is there any way of viewing the
full path easily? At the moment I'm using the Open button and then check the
file location from the schedule file that opens up.

You might try a solution outside of Project. Since the path name may be very
long and the file name is at the far right of the path, try mapping a drive
letter to the folder and assign a lettered drive to the long path.

So \\Server\Folder\LongPath\ResourcePool.mpp becomes Z:\ResourcePool.mpp

Nina,

I know what you mean. It's very hard to see. I don't know why they did
this. I'm in the process (slow progress! as i'm no no longer doing
programming) of writing a small vba macro to extract this information
into a "report". Perhaps you could do same.

Hello Nina,

Depending upon what you are needing the information for, a simple
answer could be to add the "Project" field to the Resource Usage
view in the Resource pool. It will show you the full path to all
assignments coming from the sharer files.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
