I get no warning message that a file is locked in word 97 when another user
has the file opened. The file just opens as read only. I have word xp on
the same machine and either program (word xp or word 97) gives the warning
message when they are the only word programs on the machine, but when they
are both installed I get no warning that the file is locked, it just opens as
a read only file with no message. The file doesnt give the warning if I open
it in word xp either. I would only run one but there are a few old files I
have that have to run in word 97 and some new ones that have to run in word
xp. Can anyone help?
