Watermark won't remove

I've tried utilizing the Background function to remove a watermark, but it
won't go away. I'm able to create a new watermark but not remove the old one.
A new one just goes over the old. Is there another way to remove it?

Click on View | Header and Footer, click on the old watermark to select it,
press the Delete key to delete the selected watermark, and click on Close to
close the header.
