Watermarking

I am trying to put a watermark on the document I am
typing. I learnt to do this at computer classes, but can
not get my HP to do it. Any ideas?

Best way is to click "View", "Header and Footer", insert your graphic, place
it where you want, right-click, select "Format picture", click the "Colors
and Lines" TAB and click the dropdown for "Image Control" and set it there.

Possibly you learned on Word 2002 in your class and have an earlier version
at home? Word 2002 introduced a dialog to make this easier, but you can
still do it in previous versions. Word's Help under "Create a watermark" is
good in all versions, or see "HOW TO: Create a Watermark in Microsoft Word
2000" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211324
