watermarks on word

I am currently trying to put a log as a watermark on a
word document. I have gone into header/footer then
insert picture from file. I have enlarged the picture
and selected 'watermark' for the appearance.

I now want to rotate the picture so that the watermark
logo is diaganol. Unfortunately the rotate option on
format picture in grayed in, not allowing me to rotate.

Any suggestions?

Try rotating it in a graphics program before putting it into Word.

Try MS Paint, for instance
