Way to Assign Sequential ID # in a Table in Access?

Hi,

Does anyone know a way to assign sequential ID # in a
table in Access? I always copy the data to Excel and
assign sequential ID # there and then copy them back. But
there must be a way to assign these sequential number in
Access directly, right??

Any help will be appreciated!!!!

the "autonumber" data type.
