Way to improve DB execution

Hello,

I have an Access 2000 database that was splitted into FE and BE. The BE is
located on a server, the FE is distributed to user on their local drive. For
whatever reason, it is taking a long time to open queries/ forms, etc.., even
in design view.

I don't think it is my labtop too slow, maybe due to table, query link,
etc.. What can I do to improve the speed? Thanks for any suggestion.
