WDS indexing stopped after SP1?

I have a friend who installed 2007 SP1 and now searching from Outlook doesn't
return any existing messages results. New messages are being indexed, but not
old ones. Has anyone seen issues with this?

I've looked at his search options and they look fine. He's rebooted a number
of times. He's running Vista. I've even looked at the bug database and
haven't found anything definitive. Any thoughts or has anyone else seen this?
