Web Access Files

We have "locked down" client stations at our school. We
are using the Enterprise edition of MS Project, including
Project Web Access. When a user logs in for the first
time to Project Web Access, s/he is asked to confirm
their agreement on its use after which some files are
supposed to download so that the user can enter the
Project Web Acccess Home page. The problem we are having
is that the client stations are locked down to a point
that the necessary download cannot be completed. If the
Systems Administrator knew which files were associated
with Project Web Access, he could 'push' them to the
client workstations. Does anyone know where I can find a
list of these files?

I take it you refer to locked down that there is a network policy in place
to stop you from going to the IE Tools/Internet
Options/Security/TrustedSites/Custom level and at least to set the "Run
activeX control and plugins" to administrator approved

MS Project is not one of those app that is very friendly to install over and
over in example your case so I would think that you get some policy
unlocking done.

We tried to do this also but never succeeded so did the unlocking bit.

Put your users in the Administrator's group while they install PWA, then
move them back to regular users when it's up and running. Or leave them in
a "power users" group. One of my pet peeves are IT departments that secure
their network so tightly that people can't do all the things that work
legitimately might require them to do and/or innovate to find new ways that
are better than the old way. Basically I think that if you trust people, by
and large they will live up to that trust and you have disciplinary
processes to handle the odd-ball cases where they don't.
