Hi all
I'd like to ask if anyone can advise what is the best way to set up access
for multiple remote users of an Access database located on a server.
I've heard of remoting into the server, but this has raised the question of
this then allowing the users access to secure information, so maybe not the
best option.
VPN-ing in, might only allow one user at a time to access the database
(could be wrong here - please put me right) and RAS-ing in could be very slow.
I've heard that the best way to allow mutilple remote users to access the
database at the same time might be via Web access.
I'd be really grateful for advice on the best method nad if Web access is
the best, how I would go about setting this up (or indeed my client would set
it up).
Additionally, my client is thinking of purchasing Access software in order
to have the DB on their server, but I wondred if Runtime would be better and
save them funds. I have not yet created a Runtime DB myself and am therefore
not sure how to do this but would be willing to learn if it's the best option.
Thanks for reading, I know it's long and I have many questions, but you guys
are the BEST.
