I have a user who gets an error downloading controls for
Web Access.


Can anyone tell me how to resolve.

Hi Saj,

Assuming your user has proper security rights to download the ActiveX
controls (local administrator, power user, etc), this is how to fix the
problem:

1) Exit all apps except one IE browser.
2) Tools->Internet Options->General->Settings->View Objects... delete
anything starting with "pj". Click OK until you are back to Internet
Options.
3) Security Tab->Trusted Sites->Sites... Add the Project Server as a
trusted site (if not https, de-select that menu item). Enter the server
like this: http://projectservername (no need to include the /projectserver).
Click OK until back to Internet Options.
4) Security Tab->Trusted Sites->Custom Level... Reset to "Low" and say "Yes"
(Do this even if it says Low already). Click OK until back to the browser.
5) Exit the browser and re-run.
6) Go to the Project Server website and the controls should install.
