I've just been given a new project and need to ask for some help in getting
started.
We want to use a webcam and capture a photo of employees. That photo will
be saved to a drive on the network and then an application will be written
to view those photos via our Intranet site.
I need to write an app that will allow the HR personnel to take the photo
using a webcam, save that photo, write a record to a database (employee#,
name, department, a link to the photo).
Does anyone have any recommendations, ideas etc on how I might start on
something like this?
