web data parts

I've inserted web data parts and list views from sharepoint, however I only
want to display one column, ie the title then a link to the title. At
present it dumps the whole list as it would appear. Any idea how to filter
the list in frontpage 2003 so it would just show one column in the list.?

This can be done through the SharePoint admin utilities (pages).

Right, you basically have 3 choices:

1. Use the list admin pages to create new views that have only one column
2. Right click the List View Web Parts in FrontPage and choose "List View
Properties" click the "Fields" link in the Data View Details taskpane, and
remove the fields you don't want to display
3. Place the Cursor inside any column of data you don't want to display in
the Data View Web Part, click "Table > Select > Column" and then Table >
delete Column. (you can also use the Table tools to add new columns to
display other columns of data as the mood strikes you...
