Brad,

You will probably get a much better sampling of what programs are
advantageous to know by calling a tech school or college who teaches web
design. That and some large companies (newspapers, magazines,
professional sports teams) who have large sites that are updated
in-house very frequently as well as companies that specialize in web design.
