Hi =?Utf-8?B?SmFjcXVlcw==?=,
When I start up Word 2003, in the "View" menu, "Print Layout" is selected. Is
it possible that "Web Layout" is selected by default instead, every time I
start up Word ?
Word SHOULD remember the last setting you used and bring that up when the
application starts. After that, it should apply the setting of the document you
were just viewing when you create a new document. Existing documents will be
opened in the setting in which they were closed. Is that not what you're seeing?
If not, you could try opening NORMAL.DOT (open it, don't double-click in
Explorer). Switch to the view you prefer, type a letter or two then delete them
(do NOT undo). Save and close; exit Word. Now try starting it up again?
If it's still not working, then you probably have an Add-in loading that's
setting the view for you.
