Web Page Preview vs. Web Layout

I'm battling through my first attempt at doing a Web page in Word--or
anywhere else for that matter.

I finally managed somehow to get the page beginning to look like I want it.
This entails having a frame on the left side. Much to my surprise and even
delight a scroll bar appeared beside the frame. Fine.

Problem is when I switch from Web Layout in the View Menu to Web Page
Preview in the File Menu the frame and all its contents are absent from the
page.

Can someone tell me what's going on.

Thanks...

When you create a web page with HTML frames (not a Word frame, the
precursor to the text box) you are actually creating three web pages.
One ordinary page holds the stuff in the left frame, one ordinary page
holds the stuff in the right frame, and one less ordinary page
contains specifications of the sizes of the frames plus pointers to
the other pages.

When you switch to Preview, you are probably just looking at the
ordinary page containing the right-hand stuff.

If you want to see the whole thing, you probably need to preview the
page containing the FRAMESET elements.
