Short answer yes ;>)

Assuming that the document repository is on-line and downloadable via FTP or HTTP protocols and that you're on a windows base server
with ASP / ASP.NET you'd use MSXML 4.0 or the MS Internet Transfer Control to "tear" the document from the repository then parse /
search it for information.
