Webbot vs FileSystemObject

Why would webbot be able to create a file on my web server and
FileSystemObject not? The web server is IIS5 with frontpage extensions
installed.

It's all about permissions. When you refer to "FileSystemObject" I have to
assume you're talking about ASP and the Scripting.FileSystemObject object.
Right? Well, ASP runs under a user account (IUser_<machine name>) that has
to have permission to write to the specified folder. FrontPage server
extensions manage their own permissions. With ASP, you have to do it.

Yes. and remember, we're talking about file system permissions. This has
nothing to do with your web server, only your file system.

I remember going nuts trying to set the folder permissions with IIS control
panel till I realized it was windows explorer I'd need.
