webcounter won't count

I put your page through the W3C Validator to get a look at the source - I
don't see a FP hit counter here:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

Because your hit counter is improperly installed.
It is pointing to your C: drive:
<!--webbot bot="HitCounter" i-image="2" i-resetvalue="0" i-digits="5"
u-custom startspan --><img
src="_vti_bin/fpcount.exe/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/default/My%20Documen
ts/My%20Web%20Sites/mysite/?Page=quacksplace.htm|Image=2|Digits=5" alt="Hit
Counter"><!--webbot bot="HitCounter" i-checksum="24819" endspan --></p>

Open the "server" version live in FrontPage, remove the hit counter, save
the page.
Reinstall the hit counter, save the page.

Now, when I clicked the link you supplied,
why I had to go through whatever I went
through, to get to:
http://members.cox.net/libbo1/quacksplace.htm
is a tad puzzling, because 15 seconds to open a web page
on a DSL line so I can finally be redirected to your home page
is a bit much.!!!
You're going to loose people before they ever get to your main "site"

Hmmm - that explains why I didn't see a hit counter on the URL s/he posted

Hey i know u guys are very accomplished @ webdesign. Im learning!!!... lol i think i did pretty good with that canned flash intro!!! I ultimately plan to have a couple of live nice quality webcams of aquarium shots as a lead-in to product marketing

For now i gotta learn more 'bout webdesign . . . and this darn counter is in the cross hairs for now!
