webpage opens when clicked...

Hi All,

I am using FrontPage 2002 with shared borders. What I am trying to do, is to
have a web page open to a link when the shared border button is clicked.
Instead, when I insert the link to a company, it leaves my site completely
instead of remaining in the area and still showing my shared border. I am
unsure if that makes sense at all, but if it does, I would appreciate any
assistance.

My website is www.itresponders.com and the page I am referring to is
www.itresponders.com/affiliates_d.htm

Thanks much fort considering the above.

Shared borders does not mean you are using frames. Since your site is not
using frames, the link will appear as a new web page. Your shared borders
are implemented within the page, which is better for your site anyways than
frames are. Your best bet is to convert this page to use frames so that the
link will appear in the content area.

Hope this helps,

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info. I am trying a few different things before diving into
frames. I am concerned that doing frames on the one page, will mess-up the
others. I cropped a graphic and made a hyperlink on it and did the same for
a message below. I will ad images as well after .

Thanks again,
Sam

you're thinking of frames, not shared borders - two different concepts.

The shared border won't show on the external site at all - they are part of your
own site. Shared borders are intended to show repeated content (eg a
menu/navigation bar) within your own site, not on external sites.
