Weird code popping up when I save a page

Whenever I add stuff to my web site I keep getting a lot of code added that doesn't do anything. It makes the file sizes a LOT larger and slows front page down whenever I try to work on the page. I can go through and get rid of it but the next time I save something or edit the page it shows up again

Here is an example of what shows up

<o:p><u1:p><O:p><u1:p><o:p><u1:p><align="center
style="text-align:center"><o:p><u1:p><o:p><u1:p><O:p><u1:p><o:p

I have literally sat there and spent five minutes highlighting this stuff and erasing it only for it to show back up again

Is it something I started or a glitch in the software?

Help!! :-

That "stuff" is from MS Word formatting
- create your pages in FP instead of Word (or pasting from Word)

On a couple of pages, I just copy text over from MS word (like in a press release) and I can understand the stuff showing up there

On some pages, it shows up even in pages I create entirely in FP. It also only shows up in a table. (here is an example page... it only shows up in the middle section where all the stories are....
http://www.lmunet.edu/athletics/Baseball/index.ht

Like I sad, it even shows up on pages I created ENTIRELY in FP. I even made a photo gallery and it shows up there too.

Thanks for the help

FP doesn't even have those tags in it's vocabulary
<align="center" style="text-align:center"><u1:p><o:p>
- you can check the registry to see which tags FP can generate

That content is pasted from some other web editor or program

Drag your Word files directly from Windows Explorer onto the page in FP, and
you won't get those extra tags.

Are you using the setting in page properties to get background information
from another page?

Otherwise try the standard delete you FP temporary files and recalculate
hyperlinks.
