Weird effects when printing to HP Printers

Mike

When we have our default printer set to some of the HP Printers e.g. HP8100,
HP4100, HP4200 we have noticed that our letter sized reports are previewing
strangely - sometimes the orientation is incorrect, or sometimes the data on
the page is squashed up in the top left hand corner - it seems as if the
paper is an enormous sheet and our letter sized output is right at the top -
but then if we re-run the report - its looks correct - its seems it only the
first time its runs it goes wrong.

The reason we found this is because two of our clients reported this but
only on HP printers - I was wondering if its related to HP ZoomSmart ...

Anybody have any similar experiences or any info on this issue ?

Thanks

Mike

I don't know about the specific problem, but I can suggest making sure
they are using the most current printer drivers.

Mike I did see this - the report formatting the text size completely wrong -
on HP printers about 3 years back. It occurred only after the client had
installed (then) new printer drivers. When they went back to their previous
printer driver the problem ceased.

Hopefully HP has released corrected drivers since then, but the problem is
definately the fault if the HP drivers.
