weird email problem: email string attached mysteriously to new message

W

wow i'm a dog

re. version 10.1.1

in typical microsoft fashion, i was unable to post this
message using my mac.

i just sent an email and the recipient (my partner - same
domain as me) told me that there was a string of other
emails attached to it. (thankfully, the content of the
mysteriously-attached emails was benign!) the strange
thing is that the other emails were never opened and were
in my deleted items folder. i don't understand how they
could have been attached to the original email. anyone
have any idea how this could have happened?

previous to this incident, i had been encountering an
error message 4362: "The action could not be completed. An
unknown error (4362) occurred." The error means: when you
try to use entourage to send or to receive e-mail, you
receive this error message. the solution is typically
resolved by performing a typical or advanced rebuild of
the database file."

any help is very much appreciated. i'm sweating now
thinking of all the evil messages that could have been
attached previously!

From a Microsoft insider:
"This bug we've seen reported several times and it was super hard to
repro. Finally we got a repro case and it's fixed in 10.1.4. Users should
upgradeOffice to at least 10.1.4."

Go here to update your Office files: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/
downloads.aspx#OfficeX

Go to your hard drive in Finder and you will see your update logs so
you know which one(s) you need (filename will be "Office X 10.1.2
Update Log"). Many times, you need to install the previous versions
first before installing the most recent update.
