WEIRD END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT POPUP

help!!
I own two microsoft office 2000 Professional Licenses. I purchased brand
new computers several years ago from Compaq. At that time I also purchased
Office 2000. My computers came with software loaded PLUS the Authenticity
certificate AND the Microsoft holographically sealed software CD roms.

My wife and I have used the product without incident for several years. We
run a home business. Yesterday we got a weird Popup screen freezing WORD,
EXCEL, ACCESS, etc.. Any office product we try to start up.

The screen says that we must agree to this EULA (End user License Agreement)
or the program will cease to work. Over the weekend my virus protector also
warned me and cleaned a trojan virus. I have been alittle worried about
accepting the 7 page single spaced Agreement because it doesn't seem like a
microsoft agreement.

Afraid that it might be some kind of virus, I tried system restore to no
avail, I have tried deleting office and reinstalling it, all to no avail, the
popup keeps coming back each time I try to use word or excel etc..

Can anyone tell me if this EULA (End User License Agreement is for real? and
why after 7 years of use it is poping up now all of the sudden? Or if it may
be a virus, How to delete and heal it?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
(e-mail address removed)
