weird excel viewing problem

I have a client with Office 2003 and all the SPs and patches. She has one
excel file that when she opens it, you cannot see ANYTHING, no cells, no
gridlines, nothing, in the normal view, the file name doesn't even show up at
the bar at the top. However you can see the file in print preview (and also
excel viewer). All her other excel files are working perfectly. This file
works fine on other computers with various versions of Office (2000, 2003,
XP) just not on hers. We have repaired Office 2003 and also reinstalled.
There are no events in the application log viewer that are related to opening
this file.

Any idea on what might be causing this? The file contains no macros or VB
code.

Thanks.

goto tools(menu)-options-view and see which items are checked and which
items are not checked.

Thanks. The only thing my client didn't have checked was the show formula
bar. Everything else is the same as my settings in Excel and I can see the
spreadsheet fine. Checking the show formula bar made no difference for her in
terms of the seeing the cells.

Any other ideas? My client would really like to get using this spreadsheet,
redoing it from scratch would take hours of work.

Thanks.
