weird Outlook behavior

My OutlookXP recently started "inserting" files as opposed to attaching
them... maybe it's the same thing, maybe one of the many Windows Update
fixes changed something I don't know. What I do know is that when I hit the
paperclip icon and choose a file to attach, the file shows up as an icon in
the middle of my document. Previously, an "attachments" line showed up
underneat the "Subject:" line and above the body of the message. BTW, MS
Word is my default email editor.

Any insights greatly appreciated.

thx

Attachments appear in the body for Rich Text format messages and in an
attachment line for Plain Text and HTML. It would appear you changed your
message format.
