hi all,
i am having a weird situation about viewing tasks assigned to a resource in
the project server.
the situtation:
i imported and published a project from project professional with the
resources that have assigned tasks.
then i logged in the project web access and checked that the project, the
tasks and resources are all ok.
then i created user accounts for the resources in the project server
enviroment.
the problem is; when i log in the project web access as a resource, i can
not see any task under "my tasks". but when i log in as project manager i can
see that there are tasks assigned to that spesific resource.
this is same for all resources that are imported from project professional.
the workaround:
if i create the resource first in project server, and then map it with the
appropriate resource from the project professional while importing the
project, it works just fine. i can see all the tasks assigned to the resource
when i log in as that resource.
but if i let the system create resources on the server side during import,
it causes the problem.
i dont want to do duplicate work by creating the resources manually both on
the professional and server sides. so i will appreciate any thoughts about
this problem.
note: it is not about user rights. i assigned all administrator rights to a
resource to see if it works but it did not.
regards,
orkun
