The simplest way to get MBOX files into Apple Mail is to use its built-in import feature. I also went through this process when moving my old Mozilla Thunderbird emails, and it turned out to be quite straightforward once I followed the correct steps.
You just open Apple Mail, go to File > Import Mailboxes, and then select the MBOX format option. After that, choose your MBOX file, and Apple Mail will automatically import all emails into an “Import” folder in the sidebar. From there, you can easily organize or move them into your preferred mailboxes.
This method works well for small to medium-sized files, but if the MBOX file is large or contains many folders, the process can take longer and may feel a bit messy. In such cases, users often prefer the BLR MBOX Converter Tool to make the migration smoother while preserving attachments, folder structure, and formatting.
