What advantages are there to upgrading from PPT 2000 to 2003

Are there specific things that I can do or produce in PPT 2003 that I don't
have or can't use in PPT 2000?

I did that first. If I create Power Point presentations in 2003 can they be
used and then customized by someone who has PPT 2000? I have had problems in
the past that people who do not have the most current versions can not
open/use some programs/documents that I created in 2003

Yes and no. Features that did not exist in 2000 can not be displayed or
edited. Otherwise yes.
