Running 2003 with SP1, long time user of Outlook, I now find that Outlook
"has encountered a problem and needs to close" tile suddenly appears
immediately upon opening the application. In the tile there is a box, ticked
by default, offering to "Restart Outlook".
This simply produces another 'error' tile.
I have used the 'scanpst' tool on the data file which found errors and fixed
them, but the problem remained.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Office completely, but I still have the
problem. Detect and repair runs cheerfully in Word, and from the install
disc, re-assuring me that the 'repair is complete', but I STILL have the
problem.
Any ideas how to solve this? Is it pointing at a system fault, rather than
the app itself? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
