What are the requirements for importing avis to powerpoint

Importanting avi's into my powerpoint and some avi's work and some don't
Average data rates differ
Image sizes differ
Frame rates differ
but they are not always rejected as everything else is the same

Files with the extension of avi can be just about anything. You'll need to
determine what codec (compressor/decompressor) is being used in each one and
make certain you have the required codec installed on your PC.
