I'm not sure I understand the question. But the tiny dots
that appear when you select "Tools / Options / Formatting
marks: Spaces" represent blank spaces in your document.
You can get rid of them by removing the check mark next
to "Tools / Options / Formatting marks: Spaces". If you
like the dots and want to use them as regular characters
in a document, you can go to "Insert / Symbol", set the
Font to "(normal text"), and the dot is 7 columns over and
5 rows down.
