What do I have to do in a post bio?

I am new at this and I need to know what is a post bio and how does it work?

I was wondering if this was something to do with the Communities (Discussion
Groups), but I don't see a Post Bio button, only "Edit my Profile." There
may be other portal sites that invite one to post a bio.

I think you may have misread something. In the phrase "Post Bio," post is a
verb -- not an adjective. It's inviting you to post your biography. What you
need to do is click on the button that says "Post Bio," and then type in a
brief biography of yourself, concentrating on the information that is most
important for the context in which you are posting. Most of those web sites
will allow you to compose in Word and then just paste your information into
the appropriate fields.
