Sounds to me like you need Microsoft Excel. Do you have Excel?

You go to the store and purchase it. Excel is part of Microsoft Office.
See the Microsoft website for details on what software versions are
available or visit your computer software store.

Alternatively, you can download a free viewer utility from Microsoft, which will allow you to
"Open, view, and print Excel workbooks, even if you don't have Excel installed."

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?freetext=Excel+viewer&productID=&DisplayLang=en

However, you will not be able to edit the data or create a new spreadsheet.
