What do I really need to get MS-Project Pro working?

Hi,

I've been asked to see if MS-Project Pro 2003 will work for us and how much can I expect to pay. I'm first trying to figure out what this would cost us........

MS-Project Pro 2003 $999ea
MS-Project Server 2003 $1,490ea (includes 5 clt - What does this mean?)
MS-SQL Server Standard $???????
What else to I need to roll this out (software) and how do these CALs work? How many would I need for 50 people using the system?

You need project pro to publish and update the project plans. Project
standard will not work for this. For that reason you don't need to buy
project standard.

Project Server requires a client license for everyone accessing it from the
web. The version you saw comes with 5 client licenses.
You sound like you need more than that.

You also need some other software - SQL Server and Windows Server.

You should talk to your software dealer abouthte costs of additiponal client
licenses and how that works.

Hi,

You mentioned accessing it via the WEB.

Anyone at our company would access the MS-Project Server internaly on our Domain. That being the case would those (WEB related) licenses not be needed?

No, a client license is still required for anyone connecting through an
internal intranet.
