What does the term "Show Time As:" mean?

I'm setting up a meeting. Next to the "Reminder" box there is a statement
"Show Time As:" with the options Free, tenetative, busy and out of office.
What significance does this have to the planner (me)?

It sets how the time will show in the attendees' calendars.

In addition to what Vince said, it also will block out times that the person
is unavailable to be booked for other meetings if out of office or busy.
