What does this icon mean

Hi all.

Stupid question time I'm afraid. Certain Office XP documents on my system
have the standard icons but have a black square on them on the bottom left
corner with what looks like a clock within it when viewed in explorer. I
cannot seem to find out what this signifies. Can anyone enlighten me
please.
