Gurus,

Running Outlook 2003. When you do an "Advanced Find" anywhere in the Folder
Tree you get three choices at the top underneath "Search for words"

subject field only
subject field and message body
frequently-used text fields

What exactly is "frequently-used text fields" looking in?

The better way is to just try a search and see if it finds what you are
looking for. There aren't many fields to search for email - contacts has
the most, some are included in the freq. used text search, many are not.

Is there a way to set Outlook to default to search "Frequently used text
fields" instead of just "Contacts", which just searches the name of the
contact?

Thanks

Probably the best way to know what fields are included in this category
is to go to the folder (so you have selected the type of folder),
right-click on the header row, and select Field Chooser. "Frequently
Used Fields" should already be selected by default; if not, select that
category. Now you see a list of fields in that category. Obviously
some fields are not searched although they are in that category, like
the priority or read flags (which are specified under the More Choices
tab in the search).

I don't think so - but which version and I'll double check.
