What file keeps Excel's Default settings is it normal.dot

A

Alex S

Is Excel similar to Word that many of a person's
preferences are stored in the file normal.dot? If not
where would I find the prefernces stored. Can I delete
the file as I do in Word as a test?

Thanks Alex

Alex,

Excel doesn't really have anything analogous to Word's Normal.dot. The
closest is the XLB file, which contains toolbar and menu customizations. The
name and location of this file depends on your version of Excel and Windows.
Search for *.xlb to find the file. Make sure you enable searching in hidden
folders.
