What Frontpage to buy?

Hello group,
I am looking to buy Frontpage to build my website.
I have a small amount of knowledge about what to do but am confused over
what software to buy and where from?

I have played about with a version before but do not know which one it was
and cannot get this info anymore.

Is it worth getting an older version from somewhere like ebay or should I go
for a more up to date version?
Can anyone recommend where to buy it online? I have looked up 'Frontpage
2003' on pricerunner.co.uk and it shows lots of different versions.
Which one do I need and why is there such a huge variation in price?

Many thanks in advance for any responses.
Helen

The only one you can get at the store is 2003. For older version you'll
have to check eBay or other online stores but if you're going to get it get
2003.

Prices vary because there are upgrade versions and full versions of these
products (and in general you can get "upgrades" of most software products -
eg Adobe Acrobat offers an upgrade and full edition, as does Microsoft
Office suite.

Full - where you haven't previously owned a copy of that software

Upgrade - where you own a previous version, therefore you can get the newer
version cheaper, when installing the installer does a check for a previous
version (either checks if it is currently installed, or if not, asks for the
CD of the qualifying product (i.e. a previous version of Frontpage in this
case) to make the check).

FP2003 is the latest release; but a new product called Expressions Web
Designer is coming out in 2007 (first quarter I think, at around the same
time as Windows Vista and Office 2007. (I could be wrong here).

I bought 2002 on ebay for $59.00 US but you need to be very careful. It
needs to be the full version, not upgrade and I'd only buy "New in sealed
box".
