What happened to linking contacts to other contacts?

In 2003, there was a "Contacts" box at the bottom of the form. You could
create a bidirectional link between two contacts by typing the other contact
in the box. I can't find that function in 2007.

It's still there. You just need to add it manually:
Tools > Options > Preferences > Contact Options... > Show Contact Linking on
all forms.

It should be there. It was in all versions of Outlook before 2007.
