What happened to "update link" ?

I am using powepoint 2010 and I often paste special excel charts into slides as enhanced metafiles. This always has preserved the option for me to update the image if the excel chart changes by right clicking on the chart andclicking "update link." now all of a sudden it's not there. Help?
