What if I cannot find my product code? (Can't find the original)

When you purchase a "real" version, you will get the product code with it.
And I strongly suggest you back up your files and uninstall the trial
version first. (I've read too many posts from people who had issues with
this.)

There are several different versions of Office. Which programs do you
*need*?

I hate to burst your bubble but to get those programs, it's going to cost
you $449 (Office 2003 Small Business Edition). If someone told you $189,
then they didn't ask you which program you needed. And I'm curious what
edition you were looking at (and at which site) you found a $239 price. Even
Amazon.com still wants $370 for that edition.

Hi JoAnn
After your last response, I went back and looked at the products again.
Publisher is NOT included in the package (I have it at work and on my old
version of Office) The price I found for $239 was at Microsoft's site, for
the standard version

Can you go back to the person/place who told you this? Maybe they do have it
for $189.

Oh, yeah, meant to mention that Student/Teacher edition is only $149. You
won't be able to upgrade it, but if you qualify (terms are pretty generous),
it would be an inexpensive way to go.

Hopefully, you qualify for the upgrade pricing for Publisher.
