what if scanpst doesn't work

Hi,
What can I do if scanpst doesn't work on a Office 2007 pst file? My Outook
will not load it (my pst file) as it says that it is not a Personal Folder
File.

Restore from your backups.

Scanpst (Inbox Repair Tool) is not guaranteed to work. When it does work,
the results may not be what you want. For example, as I recall, if the
"fix" is to reduce the ASCII format .pst file down to under its 2GB maximum
size, it does so by truncating the file so you lose data, and it won't be
just the oldest items, either. The .pst file may be corrupt so severely
that it is beyond the ability of Scanpst to repair it.

If you don't backup then you deem your data as worthless or reproducible.
Live and burn, er, learn.
